One benefit of using three- point lightening is that there are lights from three different angles. All three lights work together to create control of all the lighting of the scene.

How did this technique contribute to the theme? I feel this technique contributed to the theme by allowing the myself, the viewer, to feel that I was sitting there next to the main character as he was talking.

I also felt that I could become apart of the movie when there were flashback scenes. I do not think any other type of lighting would have worked for this film because it would have taken away from the story rather than contribute to the story that is being told. This suited the story being told because it showed that the scene was taking place outdoors. Compare how the scene would play if different choices had been made. I feel this scene from the movie would be completely different if they used different lightening such as magic hour lighting.
