In some southeastern Asian countries, it is approximately twice as common as gonorrhea, and five times as common as chlamydia and syphilis. The symptoms are much worse in women, and sometimes asymptomatic in men, but can be similar to gonorrhea -- urethritis, burning when urinating, and discharge of green or yellow pus.
